You are a visual designer with many years experience creating, clean, creative, USABLE designs... And you like working next to the beach. You should have experience (or at least a strong interest) in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, User Experience Research and other aspects of a complete UXD shop. Financial Services and/or e-commerce experience is a plus.
Our clients are mainly Fortune 500 firms with design needs spanning complex online applications, website redesigns and digital marketing materials. We are small shop, but we compete against the big kids - Cooper, Hot, Frog, AKQA and Digitas are a few of the usual suspects. Our projects are high profile and span all digital media - the web, extranets, mobile devices, iPads... You will be creating user interface designs for web applications, e-commerce web sites, software applications, and mobile applications.
We're looking for a senior designer that doesn't mind rolling up his/her sleeves and getting dirty in the digital trenches. Our process involves a creative collaboration where all team members get involved. We discuss. We argue. We whiteboard. We throw ideas out and say start over. Then we get it right, and push it out and our clients get a great design.
If you are a freelancer used to doing the pitch, figuring out the timing, doing the comps, and then handing off production files - perfecto! If you like working in a collaborative environment where you can be involved in all aspects of the design process — fantastic! We can use you. If you have been at a giant agency for 10 years, and are used to having interns fetch your coffee and junior designers clean up your sloppy comps, pass.
We are particularly looking for people who are equally comfortable working Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and have some Omnigraffle experience.
